DAY 18 of 24 Day Challenge (JAN 25)

Most people think that leadership is measured by ones status, reputation or fame. Jesus shakes up the whole notion of greatness by pointing to a little child who is the best demonstration of true greatness. While I don't think I want to relive my childhood years, I will say those were the good old days when I had little care in this world! Children don't usually become burdened by the responsibility of adulthood and they don't spend all their energy in obtaining distinction and upper level status--they just life to the fullest! True greatness is modeled in service to others. Even Jesus came on a mission to serve and not to be served (Matt. 20:28). Today, take lesson from a child and choose to have a position of humility. "Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted" (Matt. 23:12)
