DAY 23 of 24 Day Challenge (JAN 30)

Jan 30, 2024    Damon Butcher

Most people seek to climb the corporate ladder and be the one to give the orders. While there's nothing wrong with occupying positions of leadership, Jesus rebuked the disciples for having a "greater" mentality. For them, the greatest positions were those that were above the others. Important people had servants to carry out their wishes and attend to their needs. Jesus declared that the power structure in heaven was much different from that of our world. In Jesus' Kingdom, those who place themselves under others will get the greater positions of leadership. Those who serve others will truly be great. To make His point, Jesus presented Himself as the supreme example of one who came to serve others. Jesus, the Son of God served by laying down His life for others. As Messiah, Jesus had every right to expect service from others, but instead He served others. Today, look for ways you can be a Kingdom leader by serving others as Jesus came to serve you.
